In AD 79, the eruption of Mount Vesuvius buried Pompeii under ash and pumice, preserving buildings, streets, frescoes and evidence of everyday life in the ancient city.
During your visit, your expert guide will introduce you to Pompeii's history through its ancient streets, public buildings, houses, shops and traces of Roman social and commercial life. The itinerary will be organised according to the available time, access conditions and your group's interests.
The tour also includes a guided visit to the Villa of the Mysteries, one of Pompeii's most famous suburban residences, renowned for its extraordinary fresco cycle and its importance in Roman art.
Your guide will explain the villa's history, architecture and the interpretations of its decorations, helping you understand their cultural and historical context. As this is a private tour, you can interact directly with your guide, ask questions and explore the topics that interest you most.
A Pompeii Plus ticket is required for the visit, including access to the Villa of the Mysteries. Entrance tickets are not included in the guided tour price and must be purchased separately. Upon request, we can arrange the issuance of Pompeii Plus entrance tickets for all participants.
To organise the tickets, please provide the full names and ages of all participants in advance. The additional ticket cost can be paid directly at our office on the day of the tour. Ticket issuance is subject to availability and the Archaeological Park's conditions.
After the guided tour, you may remain inside the Archaeological Park and continue exploring independently, subject to its opening hours and regulations.
